Manish Ranjan has taken over as the new Commandant of 102 BSF, Bhuj, a release said.
A CAPF cadre 1995 batch officer, Manish Ranjan joined the BSF on January 2, 1995. He has served in Kashmir theatre, West Bengal and Intelligence. And also represented India at various national and international platforms.
He is well versed in dealing with border issues and recipient of Police Medal for meritorious service, Ati Vishist Medal, and Home Minister Medal for best Trainer.
He has also served in the NDRF for almost 10 years and is credited for establishing an International level NDRF Academy. An Internationally recognised trainer in the fields of disaster management.
His vast and rich experience will benefit the Borderman in managing challenging borders, says the statement.
