Air Marshal SK Ghotia VSM, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief South Western Air Command (SWAC) visited Air Force Station in Bhuj on Thursday, January 9. He was accompanied by Nirmala Ghotia, President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional). They were received by Air Commodore Neelesh Joshi, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Bhuj and Priya Sinha President, AFWWA (Local), a Defence PRO release said.
On arrival, he was presented a ceremonial ‘Guard of Honour’ by the station. During the visit, the Air Marshal was briefed on various operational, maintenance and administrative aspects of the station. He inspected all units and sections of the station and reviewed the operational readiness.
The Air Marshal also interacted with the station personnel and emphasized on operational preparedness. He appreciated the role of maintenance and administrative support services in achieving operational tasks. He stressed upon all air warriors to be ever ready for dealing with all types of eventualities.
Nirmala Ghotia visited various ventures of AFWWA (L) and interacted with the Sanginis of Air Force Station, Bhuj. She urged all ladies to focus on personality and skill development, with an aim to be independent and also encouraged them to be a pillar of support to the air warriors.
