Upholding the rich traditions of Indian Army of recognizing and honouring the gallantry and outstanding performance of its serving personnel in the line of duty, an interactive cultural evening was dedicated to the distinguished awardees at Sagat Singh Stadium, Jodhpur. Awardees along with their families, veterans, and many civil dignitaries were present during the event organised under strict COVID protocol, a release said.

Lieutenant General JS Nain, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command interacted with the awardees, their families, and the veterans.
The cultural evening marked the commencement of the Southern Command Investiture Ceremony, an event organised to pay tributes to the dedication and commitment of the soldiers in ensuring the safety and security of our great Nation, the release added.
The Indian Army Symphony Band mesmerised the audience, with patriotic tunes in the stadium, that was followed by splendid and coordinated Khukri Dance and Gatka Martial Art performance by the soldiers. Chugge Khan, a renowned Rajasthani folk musician enthralled the audience with his performance.
