With the recovery of the US and Indian economy from the pandemic, Gujarat industry leaders are optimistic that the trade between the two strategic partners will reach pre-pandemic levels soon.
They were speaking at a seminar on ‘Exploring Business Opportunities in USA’ organised by the Vitthal Udyognagar Industries Association (VUIA) and the Gujarat branch of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) in Anand on Saturday.
The seminar saw an overwhelming response with the participation of a large number of business owners and industrialists from Anand and adjoining places.
Speaking on the occasion, VUIA president Harshad Mehta spoke about the activities of the Association and how it is constantly engaging with the government over various issues.
Speaking at the seminar, Pankaj Bohra, Regional President of IACC’s west India council, informed about the growing trade ties between India and the US, and recovery from the pandemic.
“The US economy has more or less recovered from the pandemic. The Indian economy is also on the way up and recorded 0.4% growth in the third quarter. I am confident trade between the two strategic partners will reach pre-pandemic levels soon, and continue to rise to go ahead,” Pankaj Bohra said.
In his address, IACC Gujarat branch chairman Shailesh Goyal gave a brief outline about the activities of the chamber and its role in promoting India-US trade & investments.
“IACC is dedicated to developing India and US business relations, and will continue to work in that direction,” Goyal added.
IACC team, including Palash Dugar, Samir Patel, Dinesh Daga spoke on different topics related to Indo-US trade. The team also made a presentation about IACC’s B2B services that are aimed at helping members grow their business through facilitating and promoting collaborations, tie-us, and strategic alliances using the chamber’s extensive network.
“The initiative also helps SMEs grow their businesses by way of linkages with potential business partners,” informed Sunil Dave, Council Member of IACC Gujarat.
