Pongal was celebrated by the Tamils living across Netherlands on Thursday.
Members of over 200 Tamil families celebrated the festival with the traditional Bharatha Natiyam, Villuppattu and cultural programmes performed by the adults and children.
Children took part in the fancy dress competition with the attire of Veerapandia Kattabomman, Kodikatha Kumaran, Bharathiyar and Velu Nachiyar were the attraction at the programme.
The programme was organised by the Netherland Tamil Sangam with the sole aim of taking forward our cultural heritage to the next generation.
People across Netherlands congregate at a common place for celebrating Pongal, Deepavali and other festivals of India, said a senior BJP leader based in Chennai.
