With an aim to see the god in the smiles of poor and jobless labourers in Surat owing to the pandemic, the volunteers of HRK Help Charitable Trust, an NGO, led by its founder Rajbhai Kariya have been offering free tiffin service comprising ‘daal, bhaat, roti and sabzi’ – Ann Seva – to nearly 300 persons since March 2020, says a release.
Speaking with navjeevanexpress.com, Rajbhai Kariya, founder of HRK Help Charitable Trust, said, “With the current situation that India and the entire world are undergoing, the people of our country need us more than ever. Under my leadership, the HRK Help team is committed to providing as much help as possible to the people of Gujarat. I am very happy that people are voluntarily participating in this service with us. We are trying to reach more and more people through the social media. I am sure that by supporting each other we will soon come out of this crisis.”
Apart from this, the Trust is helping the widows to get monthly pension under the ‘Gujarat Vidhwa Sahay Yojana’. Around 30 women have so far been benefitted.
HRK Help Charitable Trust was established in 2019 in Surat by Rajbhai Kariya with the motive to serve people. Under its various initiatives in two years, this NGO has paid the fees of about 500 college-going students who can’t afford their education, contributing to running an ashram for 28 men. Along with this, it has been supporting the Old Age Homes, Orphanages to run well. Awareness campaigns on Child Rights, Women Empowerment, and Calamity Relief, Medical Support to Birds and Animals are some other services offered by this Trust.
