Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Tuesday announced that registrations for GUJCET 2021 will commence on Wednesday at 12:30 pm, says a board release.
GUJCET 2021 is the eligibility test for admission to Degree Engineering and Diploma/Degree Pharmacy programmes in state higher education institutions.
According to the release, GUJCET 2021 registrations will start tomorrow i.e., on June 23, 2021 at 12:30 PM on the official website gujcet.gseb.org. The last date to fill up and submit the application form online is June 30, 2021.
The latest press note reads “Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) is held for A,B and AB group students of HSC Science Stream by Gujarat Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar for admission in Degree Engineering and Diploma/Degree Pharmacy“
GSEB has also notified the examination fee for GUJCET 2021 registrations. As per the latest press note, applicants have to pay a fee of Rs 300 for applying online. The fee can be paid through SBIePay System (Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking). Candidates can also make offline payment of the application fee at any SBI Branch using the SBIePay option of the SBI Branch Payment.
GSEB exam dates have not been announced the GUJCET 2021 exam date although it is expected to be held somewhere in the second week of August 2021. Last year, GSEB conducted the GUJCET exam as an offline test on August 24, 2021. GUJCET question paper is based on the NCERT 10+2 syllabus divided into 02 parts. Part 1 is the combined paper on Physics and Chemistry. On the other hand, Part 2 is for the paper on Biology or Mathematics. Candidates are asked questions from the 10+2 level subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics as per the preferred course. The entire test is conducted for a duration of 3 hours/180 minutes. Candidates get 120 minutes to solve the Physics and Chemistry question paper and 60 minutes to solve the Mathematics/Biology paper.
GUJCET question paper is documented in the English, Hindi and Gujarati languages. All the questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics are of the Multiple Choice Question type carrying pre-determined marks. For every correct answer, candidates are awarded 01 marks. GUJCET has negative marking and for every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark is deducted from the candidate’s score.
There are 120 questions in the GUJCET question paper all in the MCQ format. 40 questions each are asked from the subjects of Physics and Chemistry. 40 questions are asked from the paper on Biology/Mathematics.
