R Radhakrishnan is the writer- director of the political thriller. The shoot is expected to begin this month.

It’s notable that Sreesanth has previously acted in several Hindi and Malayalam films. Patta will be fifth film for Sreesanth.

Bimal Trivedi, who gave memorable performances in Shakti (2013), and Chanakya Ni Chelli Chaal, Rajveer, Love You Yaar, etc., will now appear in an  “experimental political thriller” with a fresh, untold story.

Trivedi’s other notable acting credits include Patan Thi Pakistan (2015) and the 2017 comedy-drama film Chimmanbhai Ni Chaal.

“The protagonist is a handsome, intelligent officer whose co-workers can’t guess what he is thinking or going to do next in this nerve-wracking action flick ,” says Trivedi about his co-star Sreesanth.

Talking about director-writer, Trivedi said, “R Radhakrishnan has over two decades of experience in the film industry – Tamil and Malayalam – and he is also one of the most reputable and top directors. Cinematography is handled by Prakash Kutty. Composer Suresh Peters will return after a brief hiatus to handle the film’s music, with Suresh URS to work on the edits.”

In a conversation about the film, Bimal Trivedi said, “I am very excited to work in the political thriller ‘Patta’ and also working with former cricketer and actor Sreesanth. At a time when the Indian film industry has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic for over a year now, I am confident that with this film we will once again appear before the audience and be able to entertain them. While the story is always the main aspect of any film, our next film, Patta’s story is sure to captivate the viewers. ”

To a query on shooting schedule, Trivedi said, “The team will begin shooting once the COVID situation gets better. As of now, the casting discussions are going on. The female lead and supporting characters are expected to be essayed by leading names from Bollywood. Bengaluru will be one of the shooting locations.”

When asked about his foray into Southern films, Trivedi said, “Artistes have no language barriers and all that required is talent for production houses in South. With quality content, professional approach and high-quality technology, they have wider reach.”

“It’s pretty much sure that the story is captivating and all the actors, including Sreesanth who plays the lead will be a must-watch one as there is an innovative element that will captivate audiences from all walks of life,” Trivedi added.

“The film will give a good message to the society that ‘do good to others and it will come with good returns,” Trivedi said.
