As part of the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence, the Indian Coast Guard District Headquarter No.15 conducted a walkathon on Monday at Okha, says a release.
The walkathon was flagged off by Coast Guard District Headquarters Commander and DIG KR Deepak Kumar. The event was organized as part of 75 weeks of celebrations promoted by the Government of India starting March 12 till August 15, 2022 onwards with the theme ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’.
Walkathon route covering approximately 7.5 km, majorly traversed through the Okha town for maximum visibility with personnel displaying placards and to commemorate the celebration and make people aware of the government initiatives towards the same.
