13 senior & adventurous tourists from Namma Bangalore in Karnataka embarked on a 9-day ‘Chalo Gujarat Ghume’ tour with Bhagumama Holidays and enjoyed the hospitality of Gujaratis. They have all praise for Gujarat’s upkeep of tourist places and maintaining COVID-free.

“Throughout our tour we felt that Gujarat State is pandemic-free and has some wonderful tourist destinations on offer like the Serenity of Somnath Mandir and the ropeway experience at Junagadh. We also had a great experience at the Light and Sound show of Akshardham and now we are looking forward to experience the might of Statue of Unity Site near Vadodara.” These were the enthusiastic words of the 13 adventurous  tourists from Bangalore, Karnataka who recently  embarked on a 9-day tour of Gujarat

One of the tourists, Dr K Nagaraju shared his experiences, “We had heard a lot about Gujarat Tourism Circuit and its hospitality. The serenity and calmness of Somnath temple stands out in memory. We experienced heavy rains in Dwarka and a patch of bad roads between Somnath and Junagadh which requires immediate repairs. Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar has amazing roads.”

Another tourist, K Shyamala said, “We are eating authentic Gujarati food at Gopi Dining Hall, Ahmedabad for the first time in this tour and it’s surprising to note that in Gujarat Khichdi is served in as the final dish.” She said Gujarati people are very warm and friendly.

The trip began from Jamnagar and after visiting Porbandar, Somnath, Dwarka, Diu, Junagadh and the Sarangpur Hanuman Mandir, the group enjoyed the light and sound show at Akshardham Mandir in Gandhinagar. Next in the itinerary is the Sardar Patel Statue of Unity Circuit post which the group would visit Surat and then head back to Bangalore.

The tour organizers – Paresh Dave, Sheetal Dave and the tour in-charge Ketan Solanki of Bhagumama Holidays shared, “We salute the adventurous spirit of this group who chose to travel to our state of Gujarat for getting new experiences. Now that the tourism industry is trying to bounce back on its feet after this dreaded pandemic times, the positive experiences of such a group trip is great morale booster for Gujarat Tourism. As an organizer we planned the whole trip and tried to ensure that our esteemed guests visit the best of places, eat the best of cuisines and take back the most memorable memories from Gujarat.”

Swamy who helped in coordinating the tour program thanked Dilip Thakkar of Gopi Dining Hall for the wonderful experience of authentic Gujarati Thali.
