Puducherry Lt Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi in Puducherry and Hyderabad on his 152nd birth anniversary on Saturday.
Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy were among those who paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi here on his 152nd birth anniversary on Saturday.

Ministers, officials and legislators also paid floral tributes at the statue on the beach road here. Students and staff of Puducherry government run Bharathiar Palkalaikoodam (a multi cultural institution) presented devotional songs on the occasion. Representatives of the Hindu, Islam and Christian religions read out excerpts from their respective holy books.
Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee held a programme to celebrate the Gandhi Jayanthi. Leader of the Opposition R Siva (DMK) paid homage at the portrait of the Mahatma Gandhi and felicitated elders on the occasion in neighbouring Villianoor.
