Days after the release of Tamil film ‘Doctor’, versatile actor, producer and singer Sivakarthikeyan has made a surprise visit to Police Museum at Egmore in Chennai on Saturday.
The actor’s visit raises the eyebrows of many in the tinsel world in Tollywood. Now, he has a dream to don the role of director too.
He is known for selecting good scripts and treating his fans with not stereotypes but challenging roles to make his own mark. And above all he is ‘Namma Veettu Pillai’, the boy next door as one among the masses.
The State police museum is established on a sprawling 24,000 sqft area in the premises of the old commissioner’s office, a heritage building at Pantheon Road.
The museum spread over two floors. Among the exhibits are vehicles used by police personnel, uniforms, music equipment, seized idols, counterfeit currency printing machine, bombs, explosive detection equipment, model lock up room and guns used by the police personnel in the past and present.
The historical documents linked to Tamil Nadu police department, models of medals given to police personnel for their services, old telegram sending equipment are also displayed at the museum.
The museum was declared open for public on September 28 by the Chief Minister M K Stalin on September 28.
