Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management (SVPITM) on Thursday announced that it is organising an exhibition-cum-sale on the eve of Diwali to exhibit the products of Indegenious textiles & handicrafts at the institute’s premises here from Friday to Monday, October 29 to November 2, says an institute release.

The exhibition-cum-sale is set up to promote sale of local made handloom and handicraft products as per the policies of government, i.e. ‘Atma Nirbhar’ and ‘Vocal for Local’. Atmanirbhar Bharat or ‘self-reliant India’, is a phrase used by the Government of India in relation to the economic vision, self-reliance and economic development of the country towards the goal of making India’s bigger and more important part of the global economy” by pursuing strategies that are efficient, competitive and resilient, and at the same time self-sustaining and self-generating, the statement added.
The exhibits for display and sale comprise various products like saree, fashion accessories, home textile and products made from banana fiber.
The exhibition cum sale will open for the public from 29th October 2021 to 2nd November 2021 between 11am to 7pm
