The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated by Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (EME) School and 29 Air Defence Regiment of 617 (Independent) Air Defence Brigade at Vadodara and Statue of Unity in Kevadia with great elan and fanfare, says a release.
The celebrations comprised mesmerising Brass and Jazz Band Display by Military Band at Kevadia on Friday and Saturday and plantation of Ayurvedic Plants at EME School campus at Vadodara on Saturday.
A Relay Cycling Expedition was organised by EME School, in which 150 participants from the Army covered a distance of 110 kilometers from Vadodara to Kevadia on Sunday, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. The expedition was jointly flagged-off by Commisioner of Police, Vadodara City and Commandant, EME School.
A 7500-meter Run for Unity on the same day was also organised in which 75 Officers and Soldiers besides families, children and civilians took part, the statement added.
Celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav were also integrated with the Ekta Diwas.
