NCC Directorate Gujarat, and the State Election Commission (SEC) have jointly announced the launch of voters’ enrolment drive to cover youth of 18 and above under #EkMaiSauKeLiye campaign here on Friday.
Webinars, Lectures, #awareness campaign on #NCC Platforms, twitter & quiz competitions, poetry, Plays, Voter Pledge & other social service activities will be organised to make drive successful

Major General Arvind Kapoor, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Gujarat launched the 7th Phase of NCC campaign #EkMaiSauKeLiye on Friday at Gujarat and Dadra Nagar Haveli NCC Group Headquarters at Law Garden, Ahmedabad. This phase of campaign will continue till November 30 under the aegis of NCC Directorate, Gujarat in collaboration with State Election Commission, Gujarat.

The event was attended by state Additional Chief Electoral Officer RK Patel and Ahmedabad Deputy District Election Officer Chetan A Gandhi and 200 NCC cadets and staff.
Speaking about the significance of this campaign, Major General Arvind Kapoor said, “The aim of Phase-7 is to ensure maximum enrolment of NCC cadets and youth of 18 years and above for electoral roll January 2022. These registered NCC Cadets will thereafter make an endeavour to register 100 eligible adults in the period of one month. It is a very important activity for creating a responsible youth force which will ensure better, safer and strong future for the next generation. In addition webinars, lectures, awareness campaign on NCC Platforms, twitter and quiz competitions, poetry, street plays and voters pledge and other social service and development activities are also being organised for making the drive successful. The enrolment procedure and process is entirely online for which all technical support will be provided by the State Election Commission, Gujarat.”
“NCC, in recent times has achieved immense value and a status wherein it is being utilised as force multiplier by the Government of India for propagating each and every important project, activity of nation building. #EkMaiSauKeLiye campaign is an important chain of events being conducted by NCC. So far six phases have been launched and culminated with great success. All previous phases were conducted in highly professional manner, with lots of zeal and keeping the COVID-19 protocols in mind. The launch of Phase 7 will also showcase Gujarat NCC at national level like the last six phases,” Major General added..
Throwing more light on the enrolment of first-time voters, state Additional Chief Electoral Officer RK Patel said, “Casting a vote is a constitutional right of each responsible citizen of India who has attained the age of 18 years on January 1, 2022 and above. Each vote casted has a tremendous value and leads to formation of government by elected representatives and leaders who ensure that country is strong, safe and has bright future for every citizen. Gujarat NCC Directorate has 70,000 cadets spread across the state. With each one enlisting 100 eligible voters from the educational campuses and in their surroundings, we will be able to enrol maximum number of voters by November 30.”
Answering a query on online enrolment, Patel said, “Out of the 7 lakh new enrolment, nearly 60 percent of them were made online. Digital savvy citizens can download the app or visit the https://www.nvsp.in/ to register online and others can register offline. The SEC is holding special enrollment drive on November 14, 21, 27 and 28 where booth-level officers will remain present in all the polling booths across Gujarat and citizens can reach out to make changes or additions to the voters list. A final electoral list will be published on January 5, 2022.”

- You can also enroll offline. Fill Form 6 in two copies . Form 6 is also available free of cost in offices of Electoral Registration Officers / Assistant Electoral Registration Officers and Booth Level Officers
- The application accompanied by copies of the relevant documents can be filed in person before the concerned Electoral Registration Officer / Assistant Electoral Registration Officer or sent by post addressed to him or can be handed over to the Booth Level Officer of your polling area
