Director General of the Indian Coast Guard Krishnaswamy Natarajan will be visiting Porbandar and Gandhinagar in Gujarat on Thursday and Friday, December 16 and 17, says a release.
The DG, who retires from the Coast Guard service on December 31 this year, is on a two-day farewell visit to the North Western Region of Indian Coast Guard. He will be inspecting a 51-men Guard of Honour at CG Air Enclave at Porbandar.
The Flag Officer joined the Indian Coast Guard on January 18, 1984 and is an alumnus of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and that of US Coast Guard Training Centre, Yorktown, Virginia.
Bestowed with President’s Tatrakshak Medal (PTM) and Tatrakshak Medal (TM), he is the first ever Coast Guard officer to have conferred with Param Vishisht Seva Medal.
The DG ICG will interact with the officers, men, civilian of the service and their families. He is accompanied by Jayanthi Natarajan, President Tatrakshika, the release added.
