The third edition of the one-day Eureka Science Fair organised by ARCH Development Foundation, the CSR partner of L&T Technology Services was inaugurated by Padmashree Dr M.H.Mehta, chairman of Gujarat Life Sciences; Aruna Ranganathan, CSR Officer, LTTS; Nishant Shah, Director, ARCH Development Foundation, and Shri Pragati Vidya Mandir – Bhayli Trustees at their school campus here on Wednesday, February 12, an L&T release said.
400 students from 17 secondary schools and 14 primary schools of Vadodara Shikshan Samiti participated in the exhibition which saw a footfall of 3,000 students. Working Models on Smart City, phenomenal ideas and innovative concepts on Smart Agriculture and Alternate Use of Plastics and numerous science-based DIY activities were displayed at this fair. A 12-member jury evaluated all the models and awarded the winners, the release added.
According to Sonkee Shah, CEO, ARCH Development Foundation, “Eureka Science Fair has been organised to develop scientific temperament among the students through which also provides a unified platform for students to believe in their capabilities and rise to the innovative and entrepreneurial aspirations of Young India.”
L&T Technology Services and ARCH Development Foundation has been working with nearly 50 schools in Vadodara city to develop scientific temperament amongst the students of these schools by providing “Mini ScienceLab” constituting 109 working models for secondary schools and 69 models for the primary section covering majority of the NCERT science syllabus.
Above from science lab – the project Mini Science Lab is supported with various science-based activities throughout the academic year and an annual mega event of Eureka Science Fest is conducted every year, Shah added.
