Screen Scene Media Entertainment Private Limited, film distributors and producers, on Saturday released the title and first look of the mega budget film starring Jayam Ravi which has been named as ‘Agilan.’
Until recently the film was known by its tentative title ‘JR28.’ In a first, the actor is seen in the avatar of a person who would work on ship. His uniform is indicative of his work related to ports and the tagline reads ‘King of the Indian Ocean’.

After tasting success in film distribution, Screen Scene Media Entertainment Private Limited ventured into production and bankrolled movies like ‘Iruttu, Dharala Prabhu’ and ‘MGR Magan.’
The production house’s two more projects ‘Idiot’ and ‘Saani Kaayidham’ are gearing up for release. Meanwhile, Screen Scene, which has signed a three-film deal with Jayam Ravi, released the title and first look of the first project among the three. The mega budget film has been named ‘Agilan.’
N Kalyana Krishnan, who helmed ‘Bhooloham’ starring Jayam Ravi, is directing ‘Agilan.’
Set in the backdrop of a harbour, major portions of the film were shot in Thoothukudi port, while some important scenes were canned in Kasimedu, Chennai. Around 80 percent of the shoot is over. With the upcoming schedule which is going to take place at the largest container base in Gujarat, the shoot will be wrapped.
The movie’s unit says ‘Agilan’ will be a novel attempt in Tamil cinema and Jayam Ravi’s characterisation and performance will be talked about. Sam CS is scoring the music for Agilan. Vivek is handling the cinematography, while Vijay Murugan takes care of the art department.
