With the drastic declining of COVID-19 in the state, the Gujarat government on Thursday completely lifted curfew from six major cities. However, the Covid-induced night curfew will only be imposed in two cities – Ahmedabad and Vadodara – from February 18 till February 25 between midnight and 5 am, a state government order stated on Thursday.
The decision was taken by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel after reviewing the COVID situation at the meeting of the state’s core committee in Gandhinagar.
Further the public gatherings will now be allowed with 75 percent capacity in open places, 50 percent in covered places.
Double dose of vax mandatory for people involved in economic activities and travelling by public transports, the release added.
