Rowdy Pictures, helmed by reigning South Lady Superstar Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan, announced that they have roped in Gujarati Superstar Malhar Thakar and Monal Gajjar to commence their ‘Subh Yatra’ in Dhollywood.
Incidentally, producers Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan of Rowdy Pictures have been garnering great acclaim for the quality of movies they are producing and presenting. Following ‘Netrikann’, ‘Koozhangal’, and ‘Rocky’, they have got a myriad of projects rolling in the Tamil industry. And now, the production house is all set to create its footprint in Gujarati Cinema with ‘Shubh Yatra’, the official remake of the Tamil movie ‘Aandavan Kattalai’ that starred Vijay Sethupathi and Rithika Singh in lead roles, directed by Manikandan.

Currently, Rowdy Pictures is involved in the production of several Tamil movies that are scheduled at different stages of production. While their critically acclaimed ‘Koozhangal’ (Pebbles) has already gained International honours, including India’s official entry to the Oscars, the production house’s other movie ‘Rocky’ has witnessed terrific reception for its hard-hitting package.
The forthcoming production ‘Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal’ featuring Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, and Samantha in the lead roles, directed by Vignesh Shivan himself is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on April 28, 2022.
The other projects include Ashwin Saravanan’s spine-shuddery horror flick ‘Connect’ featuring Nayanthara, Sathyaraj, and Anupam Kher in the star cast. The Rom-Com movie “Walking Talking Strawberry Ice Cream” directed by debutant Vinayak features ‘Soorarai Pottru’ fame Krishna Kumar, playback singer Jonitha Gandhi, famous cricket player Deepak Chahar’s sister Malthi Chahar. The other project is ‘Oor Kuruvi’ directed by debutant Arun, starring Kavin in the lead role.
