Struggle to restore SLRD bogies & 2nd class unreserved tkts through UTS counters got success!@GMSRailway ADGM Shri.B.G. Mallya held negotiations, assured to & settle before Mar-7.
Question is..
* Why delaying concessional unreserved tickets despite @RailMinIndia orders 2020 pic.twitter.com/2pHeW0hAwV— TARATDAC (@TARATDAC1) February 28, 2022
The AGM has assured the delegation that this matter will be reviewed and the issue will be settled before March 7.
Under the provisions of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act of 1995, all public transports ought to have SLRD coaches with wider entrance door for easy ingress and egress of wheelchairs, wider aisles and modified toilets.
Since the physically challenged passengers cannot compete with able bodied passengers in occupying seats in trains and buses, many high courts have ordered the competent authorities to ensure their compliance as a social obligation for their easy mobility.
