Army officials from Forever Victorious Brigade under Sudarshan Chakra Division held an interaction with Civil Administration and Sarpanchs of border villages of Sriganganagar on Fraiday at Gajsinghpur to discuss the formulation and execution of various welfare schemes and infrastructure development projects, including conversion of border villages of Sriganganagar into Model villages, says a release.

Sriganganagar based Indian Army has launched a massive outreach progamme to eradicate illiteracy and poverty from the border villages and to address the issues faced by the locals including provision of basic amenities like clean water, electricity, quality education and medical facilities to the border villages.
A total of 26 officials from Indian Army, Civil administration and Sarpanchs attended the meeting. At the end of the meeting, a blue print for undertaking various projects in the border villages was formalised.
Locals expressed their gratitude for the efforts undertaken by the Indian Army through various outreach programmes for the overall development of the region and said that such projects will generate better trust and goodwill amongst the masses and will further cement the existing strong ties between the Indian Army and the local populace.
