A major accident at the shooting sets of ‘Indian 2’ has reportedly claimed three lives and several others sustained injuries. It was alleged that director Shankar has sustained fractures on his legs.
The accident took place late in the night. Kamal had a lucky escape and reportedly made arrangements for the injured to be immediately rushed to the nearby Savitha hospital.
The shooting of ‘Indian 2’ has been going on in full swing at the EVP Studios near Poonamallee in Chennai starring Kamal and Kajal Aggarwal.
Initial reports revealed that a heavy light that was placed on a 150 feet crane crashed onto a tent under which Shankar and his assistants were sitting and watching the scenes on an LED monitor.
Cause of the accident, identity of the deceased and injured were yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited.
LYCA condoles the death
The LYCA productions, in a release issued here on Thursday morning condoled the death of Assistant Director Krishna, Artist Chandran and Production Assistant Madhu. The firm said “No words could ease what we truly feel.”
