The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence led by its chairman Jual Oram visited Air Force Station Jamnagar for three days from Thursday to Saturday, April 28-30.

Jual Oram, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defence, along with the delegation comprising Members of Parliament, officials from Lok Sabha Secretariat and Ministry of Defence were briefed on the role and operational activities of South Western Air Command (SWAC).
The team interacted with Air Marshal Vikram Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, SWAC. During the visit, the Parliamentary team was briefed about the operational preparedness of the base. The Team also witnessed a short display of air operations showcasing capabilities of fighter and helicopter fleets of the Indian Air Force.
