A pension adalat for the benefit of retired Southern Railway officers, staff and their families would be held through video conference from the office of the Southern Railway headquarters here, on Thursday, May 5.
In an endeavor to address the grievances of pensioners & family pensioners, Southern Railway will organize ‘PENSION ADALAT-2022’ through Video Conferencing on 5th May 2022 (Thursday) from 10:00 hrs onwards. The Pension Adalat will be conducted throughout the Zone, simultaneously at Southern Railway Headquarters Office, at the Divisional Offices of Chennai, Tiruchchirappalli, Salem, Madurai, Palakkad, Tiruvananthapuram and at the Workshop Offices of Golden Rock/Ponmalai (GOC), Signal & Telecommunication Workshop at Podanur, Engineering Workshop at Arakkonam, Stores Department and Accounts Department.
- The video links will be published in prominent newspapers over Southern Railway jurisdiction in Tamil, Malayalam and English and also through Pensioner Associations.
The retirees of Southern Railway, both officers and staff, can participate in the Pension Adalat for speedy redressal of their grievances relating to Pension or settlement dues. The pension-related grievances include non-receipt, less payment and revision of Pension or family pension besides non-receipt of graded relief, other pensionary benefit and non-transfer of pension by disbursing agencies, etc.
Pensioners may visit the video link created by Southern Railway Headquarters or respective Division /Workshops/Units to attend the Pension Adalat through video conferencing on Thursday, May 5 for which further information will be shared through Southern Railway website in the below link by 4 pm of Wednesday, May 4 (tomorrow) :

Pensioners are requested to be in advanced preparedness and keep the requisite documents in readiness ahead of the video conference. The grievances will be attended and disposed of by the respective team consisting of Personnel Branch Officers, Accounts Officers and Settlement Staff.
Grievances relating to Compassionate Ground Appointments, requesting change in policy or rules involving purely legal points will not be taken up in the Adalat. Grievances once represented in earlier Adalats and replied suitably will not be entertained.
