NAMAKKAL, MAY 16
Namakkal East Dist Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam on Sunday opened 15 new branches and distributed Rs 3 lakh worth aids among the public.
Bussy S Anand, All India General Secretary, Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. Inaurated 15 new branches of the Iyakkam in villages falling under Mallasamudram Union. Anand also distributed Rs 3 lakh worth of aids like silver coins, scholarship to needy students, veshtis-sarees, tree saplings, groceries, cash aid for senior citizens, and annadhanam for about 1,000 persons at Ramapuram village.
The event was organised by Namakkal East Dist Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam president Sentilnathan, youth wing president Prabhu Vignesh, Mallasamudram Union president Kandasamy, secretary Logeshwaran, assistant secretary Dharaneshkumar, Thondarani Arts, Raja Bharath, Ramachandran and Saundrarajan and other office-bearers.
Anand added that this initiative has been undertaken as part of the Iyakkam’s Social Welfare Day activity every Sunday.
