An Ahmedabad-based education examination preparation start-up has come up with an innovative and low-cost app for preparation of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), a medical entrance test for UG as well as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), an engineering admission entrance test for IITs and NITs, both conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Founded in 2021 by the alumnus of Sardar Patel University and Bangalore University Sadik Ghanchi, SCIGATE was the result of two years of research.
Having completed his Masters in Biotech, Sadik worked as the principal of Scholar Science School, Ahmedabad from 2015-2019. He was taking lectures for NEET examination preparation, teaching Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics to college students. He also published books for NEET 20 practice paper set for Gujarati- and English- medium in 2020 under Naseem Publications.
Now, Sadik, 28, is the Founder and CEO of SCIGATE which is India’s first unique E-learning platform for NEET and JEE examinations.
Speaking with navjeevanexpress.com, Sadik Ghanchi, said, “NEET is considered to be one of toughest examinations of the country and last year 16 lakh students sat for NEET with aim to become doctors. Out of them nearly one lakh have got admission. Similarly, lakhs of students compete for seats in IITS, NITs through the JEE but only a few could crack it despite spending huge coaching fee. In our low-cost model, we charge Rs 3,000 for droppers, Rs 4,000 for 12th students and Rs 5,000 for 11th graders as annual fee. We also supply 12 books per subject.”
“Our first batch of Super Challengers was started on July 4 with 70 students and it is increasing day by day. We do not compete with established players but we do believe we are the best. We plan to enroll one lakh students this year.
