As part of its pan India expansion plan, Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, one of India’s reputed networks of eye hospitals, has made a foray into Surat, Bhavnagar & Vapi, acquiring 100% stake in five eyecare centers, run by Prizma Eye Care, Surat (Majuragate, Vesu and Adajan); Savani Eye Hospital, Bhavnagar and Dr Ashish Gusani Eye Hospital, Vapi, some of the trusted eye hospitals in the city.
In Gujarat, Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital already has a world class centre at Ahmedabad. With the acquisition of the five hospitals in Surat, Bhavnagar & Vapi, the number of hospitals at Dr Agarwal’s global network rises to 118. The hospital had recently got a funding of Rs. 1000 crore from TPG Growth and Temasek, one of the largest amounts raised in the eyecare space in India, primarily for its pan India expansion plan.
