The Delhi Chief Minister has visited the poll-bound state several times. He will visit Kutch for the first time on August 16, his birthday.
Kejriwal is slated to address a party event at the Town Hall. He is also likely to announce another pre-poll guarantee.

The AAP has opened a third front in Gujarat ahead of the elections. Kejriwal has already announced four guarantees for the people of Gujarat, including Kejriwal had declared three poll promises: 300 units of free electricity, jobs to all unemployed youths, betterment and facilities for tribal people, Rs 1,000 per month to women of age above 18 and raising the pay of police.

Meanwhile, from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, a battery of BJP leaders has spoken out against AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal’s “politics of freebies.”

The BJP has taken the freebie battle to court. Filed by lawyer and BJP leader, Ashwini Upadhyay, the PIL seeks directions for taking steps to regulate the poll manifesto and make political parties accountable for promises they make in the manifesto. It also seeks the poll panel to invoke its powers to freeze their election symbols and cancel their registration.
