- ADG reviews operational preparedness of Indian Coast Guard North West Region

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Additional Director General KR Suresh, PTM, TM is on a 4-day visit of Gujarat for reviewing the Operational Preparedness and infrastructure projects of the ICG in the North West Region towards mandated Coast Guard duties.

ADG KR Suresh, PTM, TM took over the reins of Coast Guard Commander, Western Seaboard on September 13 this year. Gujarat coasts being in the proximity with our Western adversary are sensitive to anti-national activities. The ADG was briefed by IG AK Harbola, TM, Regional Commander, Coast Guard North West about operational readiness of ICG in Gujarat. After Gandhinagar, ADG will be visiting forward operating bases of ICG at Jakhau, Okha, Veraval and Porbandar from Wednesday to Saturday, September 28 to October 1. Besides interacting with the Officers and personnel posted at these places, the Coast Guard Commander will review infrastructural projects at these places.
Coast Guard Commander Western Seaboard is responsible for the Indian Coast Guard charter in entire Western Seaboard of the country from Gujarat to Kerala and Lakshadweep and Minicoy islands.
