Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially announced the launch of 5G connectivity in selected cities starting Saturday at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) in New Delhi. The list includes Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Pune, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad and Jamnagar.

During the launch, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani gave his opening remarks on the launch of 5G. Thanking PM Modi, he said every policy and document of the government is skillfully drafted to help India become a developed economy by 2047.

Reliance Jio’s chief also Mentioned that 5G is much more than the next generation and calls it the foundational technology to unlock other technologies such as AI, AR/ VR, Blockchain, and Metaverse. He said 5G connectivity for the entire country, including rural areas, will be available by December 2023.

According to Mukesh Ambani, achieving these five goals will trigger a huge explosion of entrepreneurship in our country. Also, this will attract even larger investments and create millions of new jobs for our young people
