Union Minister of State for Defence & Tourism Ajay Bhatt visited the Defence Establishments in Vadodara – Air Force Station Vadodara, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (EME) School and 3 Gujarat NCC Battalion at Fatehganj – on Thursday.

At Air Force Station Vadodara, he was received by Air Commodore PVS Narayana, Air Officer Commanding of the Station. The Minister visited the operational installations of the base where he was briefed about the operational readiness and prevailing security scenario. He was also briefed on the role undertaken by AN-32 and Air Ambulance modified aircraft.

The Minister interacted with the air warriors of the base and appreciated the role played by the Air Force in guarding the skies of the nation, providing immediate humanitarian assistance and relief in disaster situations. He also complimented the Station for maintaining a high degree of preparedness.

During visit to Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (EME) School Vadodara, he was received by Major General Bikramdeep Singh, Vishisht Seva Medal, Commandant and briefed on the training practices followed, innovative training methodologies & unique initiatives being undertaken at the establishment.
The minister appreciated the high training standards achieved by the School. He also interacted and motivated the troops and exhorted the team to continue to excel. He also planted sapling as part of Green-Campus programme.

At 3 Gujarat NCC Battalion, he was received by Major General Arvind Kapoor, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Gujarat, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu. As part of his review, he interacted with a group of 400 NCC cadets from the state of Gujarat. The Minister complimented them for their exceptional work being done by the organization towards nation building. He also conveyed the appreciation and best wishes of the Prime Minister.
