The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Ship C-411 undertook medical evacuation of fisherman who was suspected of having suffered heart attack in Arabian Sea on Monday. The patient was safely brought to Okha and shifted to Tata hospital, Dwarka. This is the second medical evacuation by ICG team in the last three days, says an ICG release on Tuesday.

On Monday, October 31, 22, at about 5:20 pm, the ICG District Headquarters at Okha received distress call about medical emergency onboard Indian Fishing Boat (IFB) Alfiya. ICG fast Interceptor Ship operating in the area was diverted immediately. ICG ship proceeded with maximum speed to reach datum within half an hour. The patient was evacuated and taken onboard. Immediate medical relief was provided onboard by ICG medical team as the 27-year-old was suspected of heart attack. The Ship along with patient entered Okha Harbour at 7:20 pm, wherein ICG ambulance with medical team was standby for further treatment and transfer of patient to nearby hospital.
This is the second medical evacuation by ICG team in last three days. One more patient who suffered paralysis attack was evacuated on Saturday.
