Tamil Nadu reported 106 fresh Covid-19 cases during the last 24 hours, taking the total number of those infected to 1,075 on Sunday, the state government said.

Health Secretary Beela Rajesh said of the 106, as many as 16 had “inter-state travel” history and the remaining were their contacts.
With the latest addition, the total number of coronavirus positive patients in the state increased to 1,075, she said.
The Secretary also said six people have been discharged, taking the total number of those cured to 50 in the state.
“Two government doctors, two railway hospital doctors, four private hospital doctors and five nurses have tested positive for Covid-19,” says a press release.

“106 new positive cases reported in Tamil Nadu today, of which 90 persons are from the single source conduct. The total number of positive cases rises to 1,075 in the State, of which 971 cases are from single source contacts. Total 11 deaths have been reported till now,” she added.
With 918 new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours and 31 deaths, the total number of coronavirus cases in India on Sunday climbed to 8,447, including 764 cured and discharged, one migrated and 273 deaths, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
