R Manickavasagam
R Manickavasagam has nearly 40 years of experience and expertise in
print media. An alumnus of Vivekananda College and A M Jain College,
Chennai, he has started his career with The Indian Express, Ahmedabad
edition in 1980 as a proof-reader, the bottom of the journalistic career,
got promoted to the post of a sub-editor in 1995, and became a senior
sub-editor in 2002 with independent in-charge of business desk handling
the editing and reporting works over a decade till the papers’ editorial
operations were centralised following the advent of digitalisation. He
rose to become a chief sub-editor in 2011 and has been bringing out the
newspaper under the supervision of the resident editor. He was the first
staffer of The Indian Express, Ahmedabad edition retired on attaining the
age of 60 years on May 31, 2019.

R Arivanantham
R Arivanantham has over 30 years of experience in journalism. An
alumnus of Sir Theyagaraya College, Chennai he holds a B.Com. From
1987 to 1999, he has worked with The Indian Express’ Tamil daily,
Dinamani as sub-editor-cum-reporter in various editions — Chennai,
Tuticorin, Vellore, Madurai and Bengaluru. In 1999, he joined The Hindu
(English) as senior correspondent and posted in Perambalur. After
serving in Coimbatore, Krishnagiri, Nagercoil editions of The Hindu, he
quit the paper and started working as a freelancer. He is actively
involved in many Non-Governmental Organisations working for the uplift
of the poor. Presently, he is an honorary advisor to an NGO which has
been involved in water conservation mission in Tamil Nadu.

Gowri Manickavasagam has over 30 years of experience in teaching
and writing educational books for schoolchildren. She has done her BSc
(Chemistry) from C.Kandasamy Naidu College for Women, Cuddalore
and BEd from Annamalai University.

M Karthikeyan is an electronics and telecommunications expert. After
his graduation in engineering, BTech, from BVM Engineering College,
Vallabh Vidyanagar, he joined Wipro, Bengaluru and worked on Intel
projects for two years. Later he quit Wipro to pursue MTech from the
Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad, earlier known as Indian School
of Mining. In 2019, he bagged gold medal in MTech. His strategic
foresight, drive and determination will help build a strong foundation for
our news portal.
