Shreejidham Swaminarayan Temple’s five-day 10th anniversary celebrations commenced here on Wednesday in a grand and befitting manner. The festival which commenced on Wednesday will conclude on Sunday, the Trustees said.
The first-day festival began with the grand procession of Shreeji Ghanshyam Maharaj bedecked on a chariot. After covering the main thoroughfares of Sola area, it reached the temple premises on Science City Road.
Thousands of Ghanshyam devotees, both male and female, took part in the spiritual procession with enthusiasm. During the procession, the atmosphere became religious as Hari devotees and sisters joined in singing devotional songs to the tune of a DJ.
Shreejidham Sabha Sadan was inaugurated by Shastri Satya Sankalp Dasji Swami in the temple hall in the presence of a large number of devotees.
Various programmes, including puja, satsang, discourse, rasalila, kirtan, shakotsav will be held as part of the grand Dashabdi festival which will last for five days.
The temple trustees have made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of all the devotees to participate in the programmes.
Hundreds of volunteers are working tirelessly to make the religious festival a success.
A large number of philanthropists have generously contributed donations in cash and kind to make it a grand success.
