Vice-Chancellor of the Rashtriya Raksha Shakti University Dr Bimal Patel on Wednesday exhorted the students to develop attitude of entrepreneurship… use your knowledge and skills to solve the problems of society and work symbiotically to achieve the dream of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Dr. Bimal Patel, Member Designate, United Nations International Law Commission and Vice-Chancellor of the Rashtriya Raksha Shakti University was speaking at the 11th Convocation of CHARUSAT at Changa in Gujarat.In his convocational address, Dr Bimal Patel, said, “You were learning so far in order to earn. Now learn to pass the examination of life and profession.”
Chief Guest, Dr. Bimal Patel emphasized on developing attitude of entrepreneurship and culture of appreciation. In his pep talk, Dr Patel noted: “Unless you have entrepreneurship in approach, the future will remain uncertain.” Encouraging the graduates to serve the nation he said, “You are the shapers and doers of India. Make an instrumental contribution in development of country.” He ended with a note that, “Big results need persistence, hard work and determination. Treat your work as worship.”
CHARUSAT president Surendrabhai Patel congratulated the graduating students and said, “Make ASK – Attitude, Skills and Knowledge, the motto your life.” Surendrabhai Patel stressed on societal contribution of the graduating students and said, “Look for innovative solutions to the problems.”
The event was graced by other dignitaries from the academic world, industries and the government apart from Provost Dr RV Upadhyay; Registrar Dr. Devang Joshi; Members of the Governing Body; Board of Management of CHARUSAT; invited dignitaries; Deans of various Faculties; parents and students.
A total of 2,271 degree holders, including 34 gold medallists and 40 PhD scholars, were conferred degrees. Amongst the presence of esteemed dignitaries, 350 students of Faculty of Computer Science and Applications, 187 students of Faculty of Management Studies, 145 students of Faculty of Pharmacy, 284 students of Faculty of Applied Sciences and Faculty of Sciences, 274 students of Faculty of Medical Sciences, and 1030 students of Faculty of Technology and Engineering were conferred degrees and blessed for a bright future.
In this convocation ceremony, PhD graduates and Gold Medalists were invited. The other graduating students will be awarded degrees during degree distribution events to be held at different venues of the university on 13th and 17th January 2022, the release added.
The ceremony commenced with the grand Convocation procession, fragranced with the chanting of Vedic Mantras befitting Indian culture and tradition. Dr Devang Joshi, Registrar, CHARUSAT, led the convocation procession.
Addressing the congregation, Dr R V Upadhyay, Provost, CHARUSAT, shared the University’s progress report and extended his wishes to the graduating students. The Registrar led the oath taking ceremony where all the students pledged to excel professionally and serve the society.
The Convocation concluded with the vote of thanks by the Registrar, Dr Devang Joshi. It is noteworthy here that all the Medals are real Gold Medals conferred with certificates. Students and their parents are all provided with hospitality and special attention.
