Delhi Public School-Bopal hosted an Inter-School Fiesta, Srijan, on Saturday, 3rd August 2024. Srijan, renowned for its diverse and dynamic set of competitions, programmes and celebrations, was an extraordinary showcase of 600 students’ talents, across 32 schools exhibiting artistic abilities, mathematical skills, and literary prowess.
The event commenced with an inspiring inaugural Cultural Harmony Ceremony to celebrate unity and togetherness. Following the inauguration, the young dancers captivated the audience with their riveting group dance on ‘Shringar Ras’.
The school Director, Vandna Joshi, in her speech exhorted the students to celebrate creativity and innovation in today’s dynamic and fast – evolving world. The school Principal, Sabina Sawhney, in her enlightening speech emphasized on how the current generation strives hard for excellence in the myriads of events ranging from the fields like Math, Technology, Art, Literature, Dance and Chess. She highlighted Srijan as one such event to showcase their innate abilities, and advised them to think ahead with times and go ahead in life.
The event Kalayatan was based on the theme ‘My City My Heritage’, a true portrayal of creative excellence and finesse. Ganitagya portrayed a stellar display of mathematical expertise and intellect of the participants during the competition.
Nrityanjali: A Group Dance competition showcasing an exquisite tapestry of rhythm and grace, with dancers vividly encapsulating the essence of school life through their synchronized movements.
There were competitions like Puppet Making based on the theme ‘Strings of Society,’ Think and Link challenged the participants with a series of tasks, testing their expertise in vocabulary, para-jumbles, idioms, and phrases. Technovanza was a testament to youthful innovation, with students presenting animations, Beat the Grand Master was an enticing contest of intellect.
Srijan, is not merely an event, but rather a celebration of the indomitable spirit of creativity, innovation, and array of talents witnessed live year after year. As the event drew to closure, the air buzzed with excitement and thrill.
