Swarrnim Institute of Technology and Swarrnim School of Computing and IT – both affiliated with the Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University in Gandhinagar, recently announced their collaboration with Cyber Octet Private Limited, an IT services, security and training solutions company based in Ahmedabad. Formalising the collaboration between Swarrnim University’s institutes and Cyber Octet, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for mutual academic and industry interests.
The MoU was exchanged among Dr. Kavita Kshatriya, Academic Dean, Technical Program; Prof. (Dr.) Jayant Shekhar, Associate Dean, Swarrnim Institute of Technology (SIT) and Falgun Rathod, Managing Director, Cyber Octet Private Limited, with a view to facilitate skill development of students, providing them with outcome-based training, internship, placements and facilitating expert lectures and industry visits for the students.
As part of this collaboration, the experts from Cyber Octet have been roped in on the advisory board of Swarrnim University. Cyber Octet will also be given preference over other organisations in designing and implementing short-term courses at the university, in addition to undertaking joint research in the domain of Cyber Security. The scope of this pact also extends to showcasing Cyber Octet’s technologies, organizing joint events like seminars and conferences, and allowing the display of the company logo on the university’s website.
Students of both these institutes will also be facilitated with opportunities for industrial training, internship and an industrial visit at Cyber Octet’s office. Going a step further, even faculty members of the two institutes will be able to engage in skill development and training.
