A batch of 277 people, including four staff and family of Kendriya Vidyalaya Tehran, evacuated from the coronavirus-hit Iran arrived at the Jodhpur airport in Rajasthan on Wednesday early morning, a defence spokesperson said.
He said the preliminary screening of the evacuees, mostly pilgrims, was conducted at the airport upon arrival and thereafter they were taken to the Army Wellness Facility Centre set up at the Jodhpur Military Station.
They were flown in from Iran by Mahan air flight W5071 from Tehran to Delhi, which has been severely affected by the deadly infection.
The Army, in coordination with the Rajasthan state medical authorities and civil administration, has made adequate medical and administrative arrangements to ensure a comfortable stay for the evacuees and provide prophylactic medical support, he said.
Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Rohit Kumar Singh said that 273 of the evacuees are pilgrims, including 5 children and one infant.

He said that among the people were 149 women and girls.
The defence spokesperson said that the facility has a dedicated team of Army doctors, who will be constantly monitoring the health parameters of the evacuees for the duration of their stay.

કોવિડ-19: સૈન્ય સુખાકારી સુવિધા, જોધપુરમાં ઇરાનથી સ્વદેશ લવાયેલા ભારતીયોને રાખવામાં આવ્યા
ઇરાનથી સ્વદેશ લાવવામાં આવેલા 277 ભારતીયો આજે જોધપુર હવાઇમથકે આવ્યા હતા. હવાઇમથકે આગમન વખતે તેમનું પ્રાથમિક સ્ક્રીનિંગ કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું અને બાદમાં જોધપુર મિલિટરી સ્ટેશન ખાતે ઉભી કરવામાં આવેલી સૈન્ય સુખાકારી સુવિધામાં તેમને લઇ જવામાં આવ્યા હતા. સૈન્ય દ્વારા રાજસ્થાન રાજ્ય મેડિકલ સત્તામંડળ અને જોધપુરના જાહેર વહીવટીતંત્ર સાથે સંકલન કરીને પૂરતા પ્રમાણમાં તબીબી અને વહીવટી વ્યવસ્થાઓ કરવામાં આવી છે જેથી તમામ લોકો આરામદાયક રીતે રહી શકે અને તેમને જરૂરી તબીબી સહકાર પણ આપી શકાય. આ સુવિધા માટે સૈન્યના તબીબોની એક વિશેષ ટીમ ફાળવવામાં આવી છે જેઓ આ તમામ ભારતીયો અહીં રોકાશે ત્યાં સુધી સ્વાસ્થ્યના વિવિધ માપદંડોના આધારે તેમના પર સતત દેખરેખ રાખશે.
