The School of Security, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, Rashtriya Raksha University, organised the 2nd edition of week-long Capacity Building programme for CBI law officers from different parts of India. It was designed in a such way so that it can fulfil the requirement of the Officers. Out of 20 CBI Law Officers, there were three Female Law Officers who participated in the week-long Capacity Building programme. They were quite enthusiastic about participating in the programme which was held from May 2 to May 7. The Programme was organised in furtherance of an MoU signed between the RRU and the CBI as well as to further the mission of the Capacity Building Commission of India, says an RRU release.
The School of Security, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice of RRU had designed programme syllabus to incorporate the relevant aspects of investigation, prosecution and trial of cases under the CBI jurisdiction.The school had invited eminent, experienced and expert resource persons, faculties and professionals from the industry through which the CBI law officers got the opportunity to understand the contemporary concepts and hone their legal skills. Topics like- Legal Research Databases- uses and gathering of information out from the database during handling any cases,Admissibility of Electronic Evidence,Judicial Approach to Corruption Cases in India (Financial Fraud and Corruption related cases), Constitutionality of Deception Detection Techniques with special reference to Selvi v State of Karnataka, Withdrawal from Prosecution, Forensic and Behavioural Psychology,Common Irregularities and Lapses in Public Procurement/ Tendering Issues, Digital Forensics, Admissibility of Forensic Evidence were discussed during week-long Capacity Building Programme of CBI Law Officers.

Dr Anand Kumar Triptahi (Pro-VC, RRU), Dr Akshat Mehta (University Dean), different Law Students attended the valedictory session of the programme on Saturday.

During Valedictory session, Dr Tripathi shared with media about different other programmes which RRU is organising time to time. He further stated about the vision & mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the contribution of Rashtriya Raksha University towards the fulfilment of the same. He also talked about organising further such programme in the campus which will help to improve Criminal Justice system of India.
Nodal officer of the programme, Apoorva Mathur, Assistant Director of the School of Security, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice stated about the good feedback which he has received from the officers regarding the contents and arrangement of the programme. He further stated that the school shall organises more such programme every month for the CBI law officers.
During the programme, officers also visited different other schools of RRU and came to know their functioning, courses and their career aspects.
During their stay at RRU, they also visited some of the historical places of Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar area.
