Three students of Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research and training at its Centre for Sports Science have been selected to represent the university and Indian universities’ rowing team in the World University Rowing Championship 2024 to be conducted in the Netherlands by The International University Sports Federation from July 3-6, 2024.
The selected students are Ekshith Sai and Rose Mastica of BSc Sports and Exercise Science and S Tamil Selvi of BSc Psychology.
A Bhaskara Reddy, Senior Coach of Sri Ramachandra Water Sports Centre has also been selected as the coach for the Indian Universities’ Rowing Team.

- Chancellor Dr VR Venkatachalam gave away cash awards of Rs 9 Lakhs to the students and Rs 2.8 lakhs to the coach at a special event

The Vice Chancellor Dr. Uma Sekar, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Mahesh Vakamudi and Dr. S. Arumugam, Director, Centre for Sports Science, Dr K Balaji Singh, Dean, SRMC and J Ravisankar, Director Finance were present on the occasion.
