A three-year-old girl child died and her elder brother got injured on Monday night after a wall collapsed on them near here, sources in the police said.
The two were children of an electrician Premkumar. The siblings were playing in front of their house after a deep pit was dug for drainage work earlier in the day. This led to the wall near the pit crashing on them and killing the girl and injuring the boy who is now in hospital, the police said.
Police have registered a case of accidental death and further investigation is on.
