The 34th Diwali Exhibition, a one-stop destination, organized by Samyak Women’s Club, an NGO working for the uplift of fempreneurs and handcraft artisans, commenced on Saturday and will conclude on Sunday. Nearly 51 exhibitors have displayed their products at Shrimali Brahmin Suvarna Jayanti Hall, Near Unnati School, Mahalaxmi Char Rasta, Paldi.
Samyak Women’s Club Founder Rakhi Shah said, “We always display latest and trendy products during Festival of Lights. This exhibition has stalls selling apparels, idols and pooja materials like incense sticks, candles, snacks, sweets, shingpak, home-made chocolates and cookies, namkeen, sherbat, ragi mamra, jowar mamra, nutrition foods, mukhawas, sweets, dry fruits and super healthy snacks prepared in hygienic manner.”
“In keeping with the trend of eco-friendly apparels and promote handicraft artisans, home decorations, dress materials, long gowns, kaftans, dupattas, pants, kurtis, leggings, western outfits, crochet sets, short kurti-tops, traditional dresses, traditional clothes for the entire family, cotton and silk kurta pajamas made of natural colours and products are also at display. And above all, imitation jewellery, kitchenware, bags and purses will attract fashion aficionados,” Rakhi Shah added.
Managing Trustee of Darshu Charitable Trust Darshita B Shah, despite being wheel chair-bound was in high spirits. Her stall has home decoration items, fancy lamps, rangoli, covers, torans etc. prepared by specially abled children.
Nilesh Panchal ‘s Navjeevan Charitable Trust, which runs Dr Harikrushna Dhyabhai Swami School for mentally challenged students, has also put up a stall selling lamps, decorative items etc.
