351 cadets, including 342 sailors from Indian Navy, 13 Naviks from Indian Coast Guard, 2 police officers from Mauritius Police Force, two sailors each from Sri Lankan and Myanmar Navy, passed out successfully from the INS Valsura on Saturday.
All the candidates of the Direct Entry Electrical Mechanic (Power and Radio) have completed 26-weeks of intensive course.
The cadets were trained extensively on subjects related to basic Electrical and Electronics, with impetus on hands-on training. The training curriculum also included regular physical and outdoor activities, aimed at ensuring an all-round development.

The Admiral complimented the trainees for having successfully completed the course and advised them to keep abreast with the latest technological developments in the fields of Electrical, Electronics and Information Technology.
During the Passing Out Parade, the Chief Guest gave away Admiral Ramnath Trophy for ‘Best All Rounder Sailor’ to Sushil Kumar Tiwari, DEEM(P); the Commanding Officer INS Valsura Trophy for ‘Best Sportsman’ to Avadesh Kumar Yadav, DEEM(P); the Book Prize for ‘First in Overall Order of Merit (Power)’ to Mohammad Ali, DEEM(P); the Book Prize for ‘First in Overall Order of Merit (Radio)’ to Karan Rajendra Gupta, DEEM(R); the Book Prize for ‘Best Coast Guard trainee’ to Avinash Burhagohain, NVK(P), and the Book Prize for ‘Best International trainee’ to Myo Paing Htet, PO, a release from Defence PRO said.
