Citing the condition of farmers in the state, the Congress said that unseasonal rain left them with huge losses. The party said that insurance companies have collected premium worth several crores of rupees from farmers, but they are yet to give compensation.

The statement said that the Congress has implemented its election promise in several states by announcing waiver of farm loans.
