396 trainees have successfully completed Basic Phase Training after undergoing rigorous schedule at Mechanical Transport Training Institute (MTTI) at Air Force Station, Avadi, Chennai, according to a release from Defence PRO.
This is a historic moment for the Institute, for the first time MTTI has conducted Basic Phase Training of ab-initio trainees and will now be sent to various other training institutes of IAF, for further specialization in their respective trades.
To mark the culmination of their training, a valedictory function was held on Thursday (Jan 21, 2021). Air Commodore Vipul Singh, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Tambaram presided over this ceremony and complimented the trainees.
Amongst the trainees, trophy for Best in Academics was awarded to AC (U/T) Nikhil Tiwari, Best in General Service Training trophy was awarded to AC (U/T) Dilip Kumar and Best All Rounder trophy was awarded to AC (U/T) Nikhil Tiwari, the release added.
