The 57-member NCC Republic Day contingent staged a spectacular cultural show and enthralled all at Gujarat NCC Directorate Headquarters at Law Garden in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.
In the ceremonial function, the cadets of Republic Day contingent 2022 presented a cultural programme. They also carried out the Flag Area briefing for Major General Arvind Kapoor, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Gujarat, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu. The programme was attended by various dignitaries and a large number of cadets.

It is pertinent o note that every year a contingent of NCC cadets of the NCC Directorate Gujarat, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu used to proceed to the National Capital, New Delhi to participate in Republic Day Camp and also Prime Minister’s Rally and other competitions. This year also a contingent of 57 NCC cadets will proceed to Delhi on December 17 for Republic Day Camp 2022.
Speaking on the occasion, Major General Arvind Kapoor said, “Last year has thrown up new and unforeseen challenges for the NCC, I am proud that due to the hard work and dedication of the staff and cadets the Directorate has once again risen to the occasion and come out with flying colours. The Directorate has ensured that the training of cadets does not get affected and the training has been seamlessly transferred to online mode.”
Major General Kapoor also complimented the cadets and the supervisory staff for the excellent performance and extended his best wishes to the contingent for performing well in the RD Camp competitions at Delhi.
He also expressed his sincere gratitude to Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Rajnikant Patel and Education Minister Jitubhai S Vaghani who have provided their whole-hearted support for all NCC activities in the State.
