Bollywood’s fascination with biopics will continue this year with real-life inspiring tales on All India Anti-Terrorist Front chairman M S Bitta and the dance troupe Kings United being brought on celluloid.
According to the makers, Reliance Entertainment is producing the two projects in collaboration with Shailendra Singh.
The first titled “M S Bitta: Hit-List” will be jointly produced with Priya Gupta. The biopic will celebrate the courage and strength of Bitta, who survived multiple assassination bids in the mid-1990s.

“I am inspired to make biopics and films on the true events that celebrate India, build brand India and inspire the youth of India – the youngest population on the planet. The biopics on the life of MS Bitta and Kings United are just the sparks that I have been waiting for with which to light a new fire in Bollywood,” Singh said in a statement.
“His life is truly inspiring and we are very proud and excited to be making this film,” Gupta said of the Bitta biopic.

The venerable M.S Bitta says, “I have dedicated my whole life to fighting terrorism for my India. I don’t fear any bomb in the world. I only fear ‘Political Terrorism.’ I am very honoured that Shailendra Singh, Priya Gupta, and Reliance Entertainment have united to share my story with the world.”
The other film revolves around the inspirational story of Kings United, who recently won US $1 million with its victory on the American reality show “World Of Dance”.
The working title for the film on the dance group is “The Kings” and will follow 20 young strugglers and their journey from Nala Sopara to Los Angeles.

Suresh Mukund, Founder of Kings United, says, “Our journey has been full of trials and tribulations, victory and glory. But we had a dream, and they only thing we knew to do, was to keep chasing that dream. We believe that Shailendra Singh truly understands our story and can translate it in to film. Now that Reliance Entertainment has come on board, we are even more excited to embark upon this new journey with them.”

With a background of producing over 70 feature films across his three-decade-long career, producer Shailendra Singh, India’s entertainment maverick is starting the year off with a bang.

Singh is credited to be the only filmmaker who made a movie with 300 debutants which went on to become a runaway hit. Titled Pyaar Mein Kabhie Kabhie, it marked the debut of Sanjay Suri, Rinke Khanna (Dimple Kapadia’s daughter) and Dino Morea, among other popular names. Along with being established in the Bollywood space, Singh is known to be a creative genius in a business suit who created industries when they didn’t exist – from music entrepreneurship to sports management. Singh’s newest venture is only raising the bar higher in the field of entertainment.
