Fifty-eight golfers teed off at the Amateur / Amateur tournament played at Gulmohar Greens: Golf & Country Club on Saturday and Sunday, March 13 & 14 as a part of the Skoda Stellar-Go Golf 2021 calendar, a release said.
The golfers were paired into teams of two, and the play was in the scramble format, with the best shot of the two partners being taken into consideration for scoring purposes.
Varun Sood and HP Singh Arora were the winners in the 0-18 handicap category with 66 gross and a net score of -21. The team of Rajesh Nathawat and JS Negi was the category runner up with 72 gross and a net score of -16.
The team of Sidharth Mavani and Meet Mavani emerged the winner in the 19-36 handicap category with 82 gross and a net score of -17, getting the better of Ketul Patel and Kavil Patel, the runner up team with 87 gross and a net score of -17.
The winning teams were awarded 3,000 reward points for their efforts, and the runners up 2,600 points. Fourteen of the 29 teams bagged the reward points.
The team of Anish Patel & Tvisha Patel and Ravi Shah & Ankit Shah were selected as two best-dressed teams.
The next tournament, the third round of the 11-round Gulmohar Golfer of the Year 2021 is scheduled for March 27 and 28.
